Yet to be written about his childhood and Army service.

Marriage, Divorce, Marriage and Death

In May of 1946 bob met his first wife at a Cunningham, Kansas Catholic dance. Marcy had just graduated from High School and Bob had just been discharged from the Army.

They went to all the dances they could that summer of 1946. Both enrolled in Junior College in Pratt, Kansas in fall. Marcy lived with Bobs grandparents, Grandma and Grandpa Crick so, of course, they were together most of the time. Decided to get married on Easter Sunday, April 6, 1947. They were married in Bob's parents home. Bob sang in Methodist Church Easter Cantata that night. Did not go on honeymoon right then because they were short of money. Bob started working as meter reader with City of Pratt and going to school. He transferred to Oklahoma University the next year on a G.I. bill. Marcy was so wrapped up with marriage to Bob, additional schooling meant nothing. She went to work to help finances. She worked in State office in Oklahoma City and Bob taught Arthur Murray dancing in the evening. After the 3rd year they moved back to Pratt. Bob went to work at Tupper Office Supply with intention of taking over, but he did not like inside work. He then went to work selling for Niles & Moser Cigar Co. Debbie was born in 1954 and Bob went to work for State Chamber of Commerce. They moved to Salina, Kansas for one year then he found a job with A.E. Staley. They moved to San Antonio, Texas in 1957 and later moved to Corpus Christi, Texas in 1961.

Bobs new job kept him away from home and soon the marriage started having problems. He traveled quite a lot selling laundry products in grocery stores all over the state of Texas. He met another women who he had an affair with. In the summer of 1964 he divorced Marcy and married Alverta (Bert) Gibson in April 1965. They had 3 children, Robin Faye in November 1965, Robert Franklin Jr.in March 1967 and Richard Fielding in July 1971.

He retired from A.E. Staley somewhere around 1982 and went to work doing various jobs until his death in 1994 at 68.
