Sunday we headed to Osaka and met Yasuko, Rei, Mariko and Yoshimi at the Osaka Aquarium. We toured the Aquarium with Yasuko as our guide. Following that we met Maki at the Hilton Hotel. We were all waiting for her and when she came in she saw me and let out a scream and almost fell over the back of my chair. She came around to the from, screaming all the way and set next to me with her arms around me. Everybody in the lobby was looking - but she didn't care. I would go to Japan any day for a greeting like that. We all had dinner and then Mariko, who loves to drive, took Naoko and I back to our hotel. Thank you Mariko.
Then Monday and Tuesday morning Naoko and I set around and talked. She had to use English for the whole time we were together. She did very well. We took some walks and went out for meals. I didn't even go to a McDonalds during this time. We really had a very nice time just being together. It was really my first chance to really get to know her - and I liked it. We talked about her life and what she would like to do. She wants to learn more English and get a better job. Marriage is not on her mind right now. She wants to have a profession of some kind that she can work at even after marriage. I think she will reach her goals. At least I will help her where I can.
